Welcome
About me
I’m a senior accessibility specialist with deep, practical expertise in making documents genuinely usable for everyone. As a disabled professional and a native Dragon speech‑to‑text user, accessibility isn’t an abstract principle for me — it’s personal. I understand first‑hand how poor design shuts people out, and how good design opens doors.
I lead on document accessibility in the Department for Work and Pensions, where I’ve helped transform how teams create, structure and publish content. My work focuses on real‑world, high‑impact improvements: clear structure, meaningful alt text, correct tagging, and ensuring documents work seamlessly with assistive technologies.
With years of hands‑on experience and specialist knowledge, I’ve become recognised as an expert in document accessibility — not just in theory, but in the practical detail that makes the difference between a document that is technically compliant and one that is truly inclusive.
My passion is simple: making sure every document gives every reader an equal chance to understand, engage and participate.
